The Shins Toledo Concert reviews
Disappointing
I am a fan of The Shins and eagerly anticipated this concert for a few months to reminisce about my high school days when the band was at the peak of their popularity. The event began with the conductor and Danny DeVito delivering speeches, though I was puzzled by DeVito's presence. The concert kicked off with The Shins performing just 3 songs, followed by a 20-minute break. When they returned, the show was lackluster, with the lead singer struggling through the performance. They omitted many of their popular songs in favor of unfamiliar tracks. Only two original band members were present, so it didn't quite feel like The Shins. My date and I both agreed that DSB, a The Shins tribute band we have seen multiple times, outperformed the actual band. It's disappointing when the tribute band surpasses the "original" group.
